SEND provision

Staff identify early any children with special educational needs and/or disabilities or children who may need extra support. The special educational needs coordinator sets individual targets for these children and supports staff with strategies to help children to achieve their targets. Where necessary, leaders involve relevant external professionals so that children get the support they need to make good progress on their individual learning journeys.

I don't usually write reviews, but this time I feel like I should share my and my little one's experience at Little Pebbles Nursery Edgware. My daughter started 1 month ago when she was 1 year old. I found it very heartbreaking to leave her with strangers and I cried every time I would take her there. The settling in wasn't easy for her either, obviously she cried and even now after a month still cries when I leave her, but I am happy to see that she is fine after few minutes. ( I can see that from the window, I know cheeky, right!?) But all mums will do the same. :) Now comes the best part, the staff is absolutely amazing, all very friendly and you can see the children are very good looked after. Diana the main teacher for my daughter is a lovely person with lots of patience and a calm and caring manner. My daughter got very attached to her, she cries after Diana, even when I took her home, this can only make me happy to see the attachment between them in such a short time, she has some magic powers :), ( a child will only love a person that gives them attention) I have been inside with my daughter for mother's day and I was pleasantly surprised to see that every single person from the staff new my daughter by her name and as soon as we entered everyone smiled and waved to her. I felt reassured again that she is on good hands. I will end this long review :) after I say that my daughter is a picky eater sometimes, however she likes their food. Also the nursery is nice and clean. Many thanks to all of you at Little Pebbles Nursery xx

This nursery has a very strategic process which is unique, fun and friendly. Everyday at the nursery, the children enjoy and spend their time learning new skills throughout their curriculum to help allow build their confidence and knowledge. Staff are trained, fully qualified and very helpful. Consistently giving children correct attention and support to progress on to higher learning levels. Food and hygiene are kept up to very high standards allowing the space to be kept clean at all times. Overall, an excellent nursery for the children to attend. *****

Absolutely rubbish!! the staff didnt even let me in through the front door from the first day of my son starting nursery. They took him off me front the front door didnt even let me go in to settle him in. My son was traumatised and didnt want to leave the house as he was scared I'm gona leave him again, as I saw the change in his behaviour and the fear in his face when it came to going there. I asked them in several occasions please can I come in and settle him in but they refused I told them my son is scared and doesnt no anyone if I can then this will help him, they still refused. All the school and teachers I spoke to all agreed this was a wrong behaviour toward kids as they are in a new environment for the first time. So I stopped giving him there and since then my son has been really scared to go places full of children as he had that fear I would leave him. Its so sad to see him like this as he loved going soft play before this happened.

Little Pebbles Nursery has been a lovely find for our family. Our wee one settled in quickly, and it’s been a comfort seeing how kindly the staff handle the morning rush and the little wobblies at drop-off. The nursery feels bright, tidy and well organised, with plenty of thoughtful activities that keep the children engaged without feeling overdone. We’ve especially noticed how good they are at encouraging confidence and independence in everyday moments, like tidying away toys, sharing, and joining in with songs. It’s been brilliant for us as working parents, knowing our child is in safe hands and coming home happy and chatty. Only reason I’m giving four stars rather than five is that there have been the odd small hiccup with communication, but nothing major. Overall, Little Pebbles Nursery has been a proper asset to our routine, and we’re very pleased with the care they provide.
