Little Tots - Peterborough Mother & Baby Nursery

About this day nursery

Little Tots - Peterborough Mother & Baby Nursery is located within HMP Peterborough and provides care for very young children. The day nursery registered in 2015. At its inspection in April 2023, Ofsted judged the overall effectiveness of the provision to be Outstanding. The inspector reported that the manager and staff team have a clear understanding of child protection and wider safeguarding issues.

The curriculum is planned to build on what children already know and can do, with a focus on individual learning. To support communication development, staff create a language-rich environment with activities like sharing books and singing songs in the 'cosy corner'. Children have opportunities for fresh air and physical activity, and staff plan trips to local shops and community groups.
