What it's like
Children arrive happy to see staff, who offer a warm welcome and help them to feel safe and secure, quickly building confidence and engaging in learning. Staff skillfully support language development, including for children with English as an additional language, by expanding their vocabulary during play. Children learn to manage their emotions and feelings, with staff acting as positive role models and using props like sand timers to support understanding of sharing and turn-taking, promoting emotional well-being and positive attitudes to learning.
Fees are payable monthly in advance. The nursery offers morning, afternoon, lunch, and full day sessions. While the setting is open for 39 weeks a year, local authority funding only covers 38 weeks, meaning full fees are due for the remaining week.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders support a varied curriculum that is ambitious for every child, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). On arrival, staff get to know each child and their families to gain a broad understanding of children's individual needs and tailor their next steps in learning. For children with SEND, visual cards are used to support their understanding, promoting inclusive practice.
Staff support children in developing their physical skills by providing daily opportunities to run, use tricycles and balance on boards. This promotes their physical development and allows them to engage in active play.
My daughter Daniella attended this nursery for almost 2 years and she absolutely loved her time here, the teachers were amazing they offer a personal yet professional approach to the way in which they conduct there everyday learning, It’s so difficult to find somewhere you can confidently leave your child and know they are in such good hands, from the first day she attended she wanted to go every day, what was key for me was that at such a vulnerable age I wanted my child to be cared for by a team that have a genuine love and care for the safety and comfortability of my daughters time at nursery and I couldn’t of wished for a better group of teachers credit to the whole team you made my daughters time at nursery the best she could possibly wish for I can not express enough my gratitude and happiness thank you to the whole team especially Stella you guys are doing a brilliant job there thank you so much!! She still talks about you guys all the time!!! Amazing nursery would definitely recommend to all!!
Read on GoogleMy son has been attending this pre school for the last 2 year's and he has thrived since he been there! This speech has grown amencly he is very happy to go to school and always very happy when I pick him up, I had troubles with potty training and without the help of the staff at little Wellingtons I wouldn't of been so easy! They're was a recent Ofsted report with a poor rating which I though what's a bit unfair anyhow I've seem them work on this very very hard to make the school a happy and healthy environment for everyone there, all the staff have always been so amazing with my boy and he loves everyone of the teachers that work there it will be sad to see him leave in spetameber but I will always remwbr the milestones you help bring him throughout the last 2 year's thankyou to you all little Wellingtons
Read on GoogleMy son attended this preschool for 9 months to start off I thought they were really good??? My son has speech and language issues and they did not have the sufficient skills to deal with his education needs! Rather then help and support him they would just put him in time out or leave him in a separate room from the other children !!! We had no other choice but to remove him from this pre-school after we found out that they're OFSTED report was(4)inadequate !!! Read on Googlewonderful pre-school , my son with ASD and speech and language difficulties was welcome with open hand and he loves it there ,,, after trying few other pre-school in the borough, little wellington is the one he feels happy at and everyday he is improving a lot, learning and playing ,,, so huge and massive thanks to all the staff...wonderful people bravo!!!! best preschool for all as a parent will recommend it
Read on GoogleI think the previous review is unfair, and the Ofsted was also unfair. As a previous education consultant and assistant head teacher I have been happy with the care that my son receives. I would recommend little Wellingtons as a place where they really care about the children.
