Longfield Kindergarten, established in 1990, is a nursery located on a farm between the villages of Kilby and Fleckney. Housed in a purpose-built extension to the main farmhouse, the kindergarten provides a happy, safe, and stimulating environment for children to engage in play and learning.
The curriculum is tailored to each child's individual needs and abilities, offering diverse indoor and outdoor experiences to foster their social, intellectual, physical, and creative development. The kindergarten also focuses on enhancing literacy, numeracy, and general knowledge, preparing children for their transition to full-time school.
The staff are all qualified and experienced, undergoing regular DBS security checks to ensure child safety. Longfield Kindergarten is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle and prioritises outdoor activities as much as indoor ones, promoting independence and essential life skills.

Inclusion & environment
All staff provide purposeful, targeted support for those children who may need it, and support all children to make rapid progress.
Children collect their named hat and explain they need them for 'protection because it is sunny'. They patiently wait for the countdown to start. Children are determined and persevere as they race against the clock to fill their tubs, developing strength in their hands as they push the triggers on the bottles.
