How they support every child

SEND provision

Children know the daily routine well. Staff and children can use the visual prompts available when they want to communicate what is happening next. This helps those children who sometimes struggle to transition between activities, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

The nursery does not have its own outdoor space, so instead, children take daily trips to parks and green spaces in the local area. When children go on walks and outings in the local area, they take time to stop and look at the environment around them. Children find puddles that they can run through with delight. Outdoor learning is a key element to the curriculum and children enjoy many opportunities to extend their physical skills when they are on outings.

EAL / language support

Most of the children attending the nursery speak English as an additional language. Staff have meaningful conversations with parents to ensure that any speech and language concerns in any of the children's languages are identified swiftly. This helps to make sure that children access additional services and support as early as possible.

Our daughter has been with Maryam's for 2.5 years and we love the team there. Lin, Natalie, Carolina and now Winnie have been a big part of our daughter's development and provide a very rich environment for her, including special visitors of Mandarin lessons, Stretch and Grow, Baby Broadway and Sports day. The food is also unparalleled with lots of vegetables and variety, cooked in front of them. We are unfortunately moving out of the area in April and will be very sad to say goodbye!

We absolutely love this nursery. It’s such a warm, caring place and the team are truly wonderful — you can really tell how much they care about the children. My baby is always so happy to go there, which gives me complete peace of mind. I also really appreciate the regular updates and daily photos, which make me feel closely connected to my baby’s development. The organic menu is another highlight! I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough :)

We were lucky enough to get our twins into Maryam’s, and we waited six months for them to start—I wasn’t going to settle for anywhere else. They’ve settled in beautifully, trying new foods, creating lovely artwork, and always looking happy and engaged. The staff are incredibly attentive and caring, and the curriculum is thoughtful and enriching. Their kindness and flexibility, towards parents, meant more than I can say. We feel so lucky that our twins have access to such a nurturing and supportive environment. Absolutely worth the wait—and truly world-class childcare.

Our daughter has been attending Maryam’s Nursery for the past 1.5 years, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The staff at Maryam’s are remarkably experienced, professional, and incredibly attentive, special mention to the manager and the room leaders: Lin, Carolina and Natalie. They consistently greet everyone with a warm smile and are always approachable, demonstrating excellent communication skills across the board. The food provided at Maryam’s is another standout feature. The chef offers a weekly-changing menu that is both genuinely organic and healthy, ensuring that every meal is as delicious as it is nutritious. The facility itself is spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a variety of toys and extracurricular activities. The nursery offers engaging classes, shows, and language development opportunities, as well as the chance for daily walks to local places for fresh air. Most importantly, Maryam’s Nursery feels like a safe haven. As parents, we have felt completely at ease leaving our daughter, Isla, in their care. It is clear that the staff has fostered a nurturing, family-like environment, making our departure from Maryam’s family a very bittersweet moment. We are truly grateful for the care and love Isla has received during her time here. Thank you for everything you have done to us and couldn’t recommend you more.
