MEplace Big in Battersea, London, is a bright and welcoming nursery located within the iconic Battersea Power Station development. It offers a cosy and intimate space designed with modern, airy aesthetics and features familiar MEplace visuals and dedicated learning zones.

The nursery focuses on a play-based, holistic educational journey, nurturing children's physical and mental well-being from an early age. The curriculum incorporates extensive outdoor learning opportunities, utilising the nearby Battersea Park, and includes regular educational visits to museums, farms, and galleries to enrich topic-based learning.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged as monthly memberships for either full-time or part-time schedules of two, three, or four full days per week. These standard rates apply to children aged one to five years old, with funded rates detailed separately.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are identified quickly and well supported by staff working closely with parents and external professionals. This ensures children with SEND make good progress. For example, children who were using single words to communicate when they started at the nursery are now communicating confidently using simple sentences.

Outdoor space

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
