Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Otley is dedicated to providing children with an optimal start in life, fostering their development within a supportive and stimulating environment. The nursery, led by owner Diane, emphasises a play-based curriculum that adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), encouraging children to explore and learn both indoors and outdoors, as well as through local excursions.
Each child benefits from a dedicated Key Person who offers nurturing care, guidance, and encouragement, ensuring they feel secure and valued. The nursery spaces are thoughtfully designed to ignite curiosity and creativity, featuring child-friendly furnishings, sensory equipment, and distinct areas for various activities such as reading, messy play, construction, and imaginative games.
Outdoor gardens further extend learning opportunities with climbing structures, bikes, natural elements, and a dedicated gardening area. Monkey Puzzle Otley also prioritises healthy eating, offering fresh, balanced meals and snacks prepared on-site, with a focus on expanding children's tastes and promoting good nutritional habits.
The team is committed to open communication with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and development through an online learning journal. The nursery aims to create a welcoming atmosphere where children can grow in confidence, social skills, and overall well-being.

The staff are lovely and have made a great bond with my 2 children! We have experienced each of the rooms now and everyone is always amazing, my children love going here which tells me they are happy, well cared for and entertained! They always get involved in the community holding collections and going for trips around which is lovely also. Loads of great learning experiences which I’ve not had from other nursery settings such as learning of different cultures where they have themed interactive weeks etc and learning about the environment encouraging children to look after the planet which is fantastic! 10/10 can’t fault them!
