Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery in Borehamwood, established in 2016, provides full-day care for children aged 0 to 4 years. The nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, 51 weeks of the year, offering a strong focus on developing communication and language skills from babyhood through to pre-school.

The dedicated team of 23 childcare staff, including 13 qualified to Level 2 or above, work collaboratively to ensure each child receives tailored support. They foster meaningful bonds, helping children settle confidently and progress well in their learning.

Monkey Puzzle Nursery in Borehamwood was fantastic for our family. Both of our children grew up there, and the care they received was amazing. The staff were kind, attentive, and really understood each child as an individual. Our kids were always happy, confident, and excited to go in each day. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

My son has attended nursery at Monkey Puzzle in Borehamwood since it opened in 2016. His behaviour at nursery is very good, and he has learnt so much - he is starting to read and write, he has a vocabulary that is a couple of years ahead of his age and is counting well and taking an interest in simple sums. The staff are amazing - really kind and caring and committed to the children and my son loves so many of them. Since Lesley has been manager, things have gone really well, and I would strongly recommend the nursery.

Both my children attended this nursery and they had the best time. The team are fantastic, caring and nurturing. Its very well run, and have coped really well during the pandemic. Thank you for doing an excellent job!

This nursery is terrible avoid like the plague. Very unhygienic very unkempt and the setting looks so messy and it’s very old building. Some on the staff are just clueless and it’s just appalling. I know one of the staff members who had left there and this person told me that the manager/director keeps all old and present staff details out and not locked away this is terrible isn’t that data protection preach !!!!!! Imagine how they keep children’s details. all staff paper work and children’s should be destroyed the ICO should be informed very unprofessional setting

My son has been attending this nursery for 2 years. He has learnt a lot from the kind staff. The nursery is very well run and I highly recommend it.
