The team is further supported by a cook and a housekeeper. The 2022 inspection, the first routine inspection since the COVID-19 pandemic, acknowledged the impact of the pandemic and found that the provision continues to be outstanding across all areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, as well as leadership and management.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff are highly skilled in identifying children with additional needs and understand the importance of doing so swiftly. They have vast knowledge and experiences of supporting parents through the referral process and working with other professionals to secure services and interventions. Staff confidently use a range of strategies to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, with highly successful outcomes.

Children are provided with ample opportunities to play and explore outdoors.

My little boy has absolutely loved going to Mulberry Bush in Walmersley. From the very beginning, I’ve felt so comfortable and reassured leaving him with the wonderful staff. They are incredibly caring, kind, and genuinely take the time to get to know each child as an individual. It’s clear how much they love what they do, and it really shows in the warm, nurturing environment they create. My little boy has thrived there and made so many happy memories and friends. We will all miss it.

Mulberry Bush Walmersley has been a great nursery for our daughter, Heidi. She was at a smaller nursery for 2 years then moved to Mulberry for Pre-school. We felt like Mulberry was a hybrid between school and a nursery environment for little ones. This is particularly apparent with their Pre-School Academy which is focused on preparing them for starting school. Heidi felt secure and needs met by the nursery staff. I'd do the same again with our baby when he's about 2 years old. As a working Mum, I appreciated the Nursery's flexibility too. Overall I'm glad that we sent her there and grateful for the staff who looked after her.

My Daughter was mistreated at this disgusting place. She was high in fever and the staff just ignored her all day. When I went to pick her up my heart fell apart.

We are thrilled that we picked this nursery for our little girl. Sending her in to start at just eight months old, we were a bit worried but the staff put us at complete ease. They really helped settle her down and now she absolutely loves going in. We have complete confidence in the staff, especially the management and those in the baby room - any illness or problems during the day, they are on the phone to let us know, which is brilliant. The site is safe and secure, so we couldn't be happier to leave our baby there. There is always plenty going on and loads of exciting things for the children to do. The staff document everything that goes on in a record book and are always showing us paintings and photos of what our little one has been up to. We are really looking forward to seeing her grow and learn there. We couldn't recommend Mulberry Bush Walmersley more highly.

AMAZING NURSERY!! Could not be faulted in any way. Staff are amazing with our Daughter. Always feel welcome and comforted at leaving our daughter there. The Nursery itself is fab, the decoration, outside play and each room have so much for the children to do. We would never even look at another nursery. All our children will be going here. :o) Lauren xxx
