About this day nursery

My Childcare and Me, situated in Blackheath, London, provides a nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. Founded by Jade Ashman, a parent herself, the nursery strives to create a safe, valued, and genuinely caring space where children can explore, play, and develop confidence at their own individual pace.

The nursery, which has been serving the community for three years and holds a ‘Good’ OFSTED rating, also offers after-school and holiday clubs, along with private tutoring in Maths and English for KS1, KS2, and 11+. Beyond childcare, My Childcare and Me offers comprehensive support for parents, including small-group sessions for speech and language, fussy eating, toileting, emotional regulation, and social development.

They also provide "Get Ready for School" activities and extra-curricular sessions like yoga, drama, PE, and foreign languages. The setting fosters a strong community through coffee mornings, workshops, Q&As on parenting topics, and parent-child events.

SEND provision

Leaders have plans in place to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Practitioners receive training to enhance their skills and gather key information from parents and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach to support all children.

Outdoor space

Practitioners efficiently cater to the physical needs of children. Older children engage in physical activities, such as running and climbing, using the garden and local outdoor spaces. This builds on their strength and coordination.

Our son has been going there since he was 8 months old and it's become like the home outside of home. We really feel he's in safe hands, he loves it there plus we can tell they put great efforts on his skills development.

Both my children attend My and Me and I couldn't recommend it more highly! My son attends nursery and we both love the care and attention he receives! They are very supportive of his development and his special needs requirements. My daughter attends the after school club and she enjoys all the activities she does there especially the baking and lovely treats she gets to bring home at the end of the day!

We moved countries nearly a year ago and I was instantly at rest when we found My and Me. Jade was warm on our first visit and had remained so throughout. The staff are very friendly, resourceful and it’s felt like a partnership throughout. Every concern and detail was adequately addressed and it’s been wonderful to see our daughter’s development since we joined. So if you’re thinking of joining them, do it.
