Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is exceptional. All staff understand these children's specific needs and set appropriate development targets with parents and other professionals involved in their care, ensuring they focus on the areas children need to improve.

Outdoor space

Outside learning is highly valued. The garden is full of exciting learning experiences. Children find out about the natural world through forest-school activities. They observe plants, insects, birds and frogspawn in the pond area and build a 'frog home', while they wait for the tadpoles to develop.

I went to the baby massage and breastfeeding group at New River Green when my baby was about a month and a half old and we loved it. The baby massage was lovely and all the staff are such sweethearts. They made me feel so comfortable and welcome — such a supportive space for new parents and babies. Highly recommend.

I use the stay and play groups here. It can get busy sometimes but is a lot of fun for me and my 2 year old! My niece also goes to the nursery at the centre and my sister says she really likes it.

I like this children's centre. It's very child friendly.it caters for babies.unlike the factory who makes no effort to include young babies Independence or join in at fruit time at the table with the other children as their are no baby chairs and service they offer is of a poor service as it's term time only. New river green offers us what we want. The worker there is fantastic. Thank you Jackie for always including our babies and giving us so much choice to choose from and offering an all year round good service. Well done to new river green. Shame on you whoever is running the factory.we use to run it at a high standard until it was taken over for the worse. It's now going to the dogs.found out very recently that the factory is only opened term time only. So sad.what is this world coming to

I attend Dad's Club here and it's great fun. My son also went to under-1's club and we attended ante-natal classes before he was born too. This centre offers so many great services and the staff are caring, professional people.
