Areas to develop
I have been bowled over by the staff's genuine passion, unique activities and community spirit at NHC. As a first-time mum, I wasn't sure how the Nursery-Parent relationship would work but its a truly special bond at NHC, you feel you can ask Sara anything and she responds with warmth, reassurance and at impressive speed. My son settled at NHC very quickly and loves going each day. We get regular updates throughout the day to see the activities he gets up, development milestone updates, how long he has napped and what homemade food he has eaten that day. The staff are incredible and my son has made great relationships with them. I couldn't be happier with NHC, I'm so thankful our friend suggested we take a tour.
Read on GoogleAs a first-time mum, I was incredibly nervous about sending my son to nursery especially with so many worrying stories and videos circulating online. But from the moment we started in January 2025, just before he turned two, I have been completely reassured. My son has grown so much since joining. He has really come out of his shell, and every day I see him becoming more his own little person. What I once feared has turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made as a family. This nursery truly feels like a community more like an extension of family. My partner and I value their inclusive approach, where every child is seen and celebrated. My son gets to also experience the world beyond the classroom. The staff and management are Amazing! patient, supportive, and passionate about what they do. My son is truly happy! here, and I can say with complete confidence that my heart is at peace every time I leave him in their care. Thank you! for being the kind of nursery that every parent hopes to find.
Read on GoogleFinding the right nursery for our daughter was one of the most challenging and emotional experiences we’ve had as parents. Sounds dramatic, but honestly, the search process felt endless and honestly quite demoralising at times — we just wanted somewhere that truly felt right. The moment we walked into Norbury HIll Cubs, we knew we’d found it. There was an immediate sense of warmth, care and genuine passion that set it apart. We just felt at ease. Sara the nursery manager/owner is deeply committed and clearly cares for every single child as if they were her own. Like she is scarily obsessed with all the children having the best experience. From the first meeting, both she and the the rest of the amazing staff made us feel completely reassured — their professionalism and kindness shine through in everything they do. It’s only been a month, but the change in our daughter has been incredible. She’s already made friends, comes home proudly showing off her artwork, and when we pick her up she's deliriously happy and looks so rough lol, which tells me she had the best time that day and every other day.. She’s happy, growing, and truly thriving — and that’s all we could ever hope for. The other parents have also been super friendly and welcoming, which has made the transition even smoother. It really does feel like a little community, corny as it sounds, a village, helping us raise our daughter. We’re so grateful to have found NHC, and we can’t wait to watch our daughter continue to blossom here.
Read on GoogleWe couldn't be happier that our little boy is at Norbury Hill Cubs! From the first day we visited it felt like the perfect place for us. All the staff have always been so friendly and welcoming and they have all gone above and beyond to help our little one settle in. Athough he hasn't been there very long he's happy to go in and waves when he arrives! What is also great is that you really feel a sense of community and all the other parents are so lovely and are clearly proud to be part of the NHC community which has made transitioning back to work so much easier. We would highly recommend NHC to anyone looking for a nursery for their child in the area.
Read on GoogleI was quite nervous about putting my one-year-old into nursery, and after visiting yesterday, I was honestly taken aback. I noticed a large Black History Month Flag, which made me wonder — what value does something like that bring to children aged 1–4? When I called to ask about it, I was told that they believe the children connect with it and that it reflects the nursery’s values. What really concerned me, however, was when I asked about how the nursery includes English cultural events or traditions in their learning themes. English is an ethnicity and only those with English Linage can be English - I am shocked that they did not know this. The staff member mentioned a few general celebrations, but none that were specifically English in origin. It made me feel that there’s a lack of awareness or balance in how different cultures — including our own — are represented. England has such a rich cultural heritage — from Shakespeare and classical music to art, theatre, and early innovation like the FIRST underground railway. I believe it’s important for children to learn about that too. Not to mention they are speaking ENGLISH! Please, as parents, think about where you put your children and what indoctrination they are doing to them! Its safe to say I will be home schooling my children.
