Outdoor space

Children enjoy the outdoors and benefit from fresh air and exercise. They visit the local common and parks to look for minibeasts and go on autumn walks. Staff broaden children's knowledge of the natural world further as they learn how things grow as they help to plant cauliflower, green beans and sweetcorn in the garden.

EAL / language support

The diverse staff team supports children who speak English as an additional language by incorporating their home language and obtaining keywords from parents, helping all children become skillful communicators.

Both of my children have attended Shining Stars Nursery—first my son, and now my daughter—and I couldn’t be happier with the experience we’ve had. From the very start, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and incredibly caring. It’s clear they truly love what they do and are passionate about creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for the children. My son always looked forward to going, and now my daughter is just as excited each morning. It’s been so reassuring to see both of them happy, settled, and thriving. The activities are always creative and engaging, and it’s lovely to hear them come home talking about what they’ve learned and the friends they’ve made. Communication with parents is also excellent—we’ve always felt informed and involved in our children’s progress. The team at Shining Stars really take the time to get to know each child and make them feel special. I’m so grateful for the care and support both of my children have received here. I highly recommend Shining Stars Nursery to any parent looking for a warm and supportive early years setting. 💕

As my daughter gets ready to leave nursery this September, i just want to say a big thank you to the amazing staff. You've been so kind, caring, and supportive not just to her, but my son as well. You've helped her grow in confidence, supported her beautifully with toilet training, and truly made her feel safe and happy. Knowing our son is still in such good hands is a huge comfort. I am so grateful for all you do!

My son goes to this nursery and I already plan to send my little girl here as well. It's a small, cosy nursery but is really big with respect to having progressive outcome in the children. My son feels safe, confident, loved and has learnt so much at this nursery. I absolutely recommend it to everyone! It holds a special place in my heart!

My son Muhammad went to this nursery since September 2021 and now he is going to reception. And my youngest started with them early this year. The Nursery is absolutely fantastic. The manager and staff are loving, caring, patient and very professional. They are very attentive to each childs needs. I have even sought advice from them inregards to my son as they were able to pick up somethings from him that I didn't! The nursery is very clean and cosy and the children love being there. I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone who wants their child to grow and learn and a loving and family like environment.
