We couldn’t be happier with North Bushey Pre-School. My 3-year-old son started in January 2026, and before this he had only ever been cared for by a childminder – who we were 100% happy with. After moving house and changing our daughter’s school, we found it surprisingly difficult to secure a suitable childcare option for our son. We visited several nurseries and, unfortunately, none of them impressed us – especially considering the very high fees. By chance, we discovered North Bushey Pre-School, which is conveniently located on the same campus as my daughter’s primary school (I’m still puzzled as to why I didn’t start my search there!). From the very first week, my son – who had never been in a nursery or pre-school environment before – settled in incredibly well. We quickly noticed a real improvement in his language development, which has been wonderful to see. He now regularly brings home the artwork and projects he has completed and is so proud of them. Previously, he could only admire what his older sister brought back from school, so seeing his confidence and excitement grow has been very special for us as parents. We are more than happy with North Bushey Pre-School and truly can’t recommend it highly enough. The only suggestion I would make is to review the cost of the after-school sessions, as I believe making these more accessible would be a life-changing option for many families.

We have had such a positive experience with preschool in my son' first term (2.5years old) The team are incredibly warm, attentive and genuinely attuned to my son’s individual learning needs as well as his emotional wellbeing. From the very beginning they took the time to really understand him as a person, which made the transition into preschool feel safe and supportive for both of us. Communication has been outstanding — I always feel kept informed through thoughtful texts and phone calls, and I know that any concerns or updates will be shared promptly. The tailored phasing-in approach at the start was especially appreciated; it was clear that settling him in at his own pace was a priority, and it made a huge difference to his confidence. The staff were also incredibly supportive around toileting and potty training, listening to my concerns and working collaboratively with me in a calm, sensible and reassuring way. The development we have seen in just one term has been amazing. His language has absolutely blossomed, and his fine and gross motor skills have come on so much — I can clearly see how much this is supported by the thoughtful play opportunities and nurturing environment at preschool. Most importantly, preschool truly feels like an extension of our family. I know my son is deeply cared for, understood and valued — and he is genuinely happy and excited to go each day. As a parent, that is everything! Thank you!!
