Nuffy Bear Day Nursery, a childcare setting on non-domestic premises, provides a warm and relaxed environment where children aged 0-4 years are welcomed and quickly settle. Established in 2010, the nursery operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, for 51 weeks of the year, closing for one week at Christmas and on bank holidays.

Children are encouraged to be inquisitive and explore freely, with adults planning experiences based on their interests, including enjoyable messy play activities such as foot painting and melting ice. The nursery fosters confident communication, with a language-rich environment that is a significant strength, and babies form strong attachments with staff.

Strong partnerships with parents are evident, with parents speaking highly of the information and photo updates they receive, the nutritious meals provided, and their children's progress in social skills and confidence. Staff effectively monitor children's progress, identifying learning gaps and offering additional support, and leaders collaborate with outside agencies for children requiring special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) provision.

While children enjoy outdoor play and the freedom to explore, the nursery is working to further enhance outdoor learning opportunities to strengthen physical development outcomes. Leaders and managers maintain a clear vision for improvement and support their staff team well, ensuring a positive environment for both children and educators.
