Oakwood Acorns, established in 2009, operates all year round in Leeds, with opening hours from Monday to Friday. The nursery caters to children from birth, focusing on providing a well-rounded and ambitious curriculum within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

The Ofsted report, dated 11th July 2022, highlights that while there were no children present at the time of inspection, the provider demonstrated a clear understanding of safeguarding principles and effective risk assessment, leading to a "Met" rating for meeting registration requirements. The nursery is committed to staff development, planning child protection training and regular supervision to support continuous professional growth.

The provider also showed a strong grasp of the Early Years Foundation Stage, outlining plans for an ambitious curriculum tailored to individual learning needs and interests. The nursery aims to teach children about emotions and positive behaviour management, observing and assessing their progress to identify any developmental gaps and plan next steps, sharing this information with parents.

Strong relationships with local schools are fostered to ensure children are well-prepared for their future learning. Seven members of childcare staff, all holding appropriate early years qualifications at level 3 or above, ensure a high standard of care and education.
