Inspector highlights
Inclusion & environment
Children's early communication and language development is a key strength. All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are becoming confident communicators. There is an inspirational team of SEND coordinators who work with a wide range of other professionals, staff and parents to ensure children receive the additional support that they need.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning.
My daughter has been attending this nursery since she turned two and will be turning four this April. We honestly couldn’t be happier with the care and support she’s received. The staff are incredibly kind, patient and genuinely caring. She has grown so much in confidence, communication and independence during her time here. She absolutely loves going in each day and always comes home happy and full of stories. The environment is warm, safe and welcoming, and I feel completely at ease knowing she’s in such good hands. Thank you to the whole team for everything you do – we’re so grateful.
Read on GoogleOlive Garden Nursery is an outstanding nursery which not only educates children in the key subjects but also focusses on the whole child creating an independant individual for society and teaching children they skills they need to live which i found very impressive. Within nursery children learn to be independant, help out at snack time, tidying up time, washing up and most recently sell fruit! They have also taken part in many community trips such as going shopping, exploring public transport and visiting places of worship to name a few. This is in addition to their trips and extra curricular activities that take place throughout the year. Moreover, the importance of charity is highlighted from the beginning with the happiness our donations bring shared with us and the children which is not only rewarding but also establishes good values in the children. Focussing on developing the whole child is so important and Olive Garden Nursery certainly set the foundation strong for the children to continue their jourmey after nursery. All the staff are lovely and approachable including the leadership team who are outside everyday to answer any questions/queries. Parents can also get involved in the many educational sessions that run throughout the year making sure we all work as a team in bringing out the best in our children. There's nothing more i could ask for as a parent. Thank you for everything!

Read on GoogleOne of the best decisions we have made for our LO with Special Needs is move her to Olive Garden Nursery. In such a short space of time (few weeks) I’ve seen such a positive change. The staff are a credit to the nursery and deserve praise. One of the biggest worry for a parent of a SEN child is if they are going to be taken care of in someone else’s care. The love, respect and care that’s felt for my LO from all the Apas in the nursery has eliminated that worry. Their attention and positive attitude is amazing. It’s absolutely lovely and refreshing to see staff who are happy, smiling and joyful. It makes such a difference. The Nursery challenges my LO, work with her to develop new skills, gives me regular updates on how she’s doing. I know everyday what she’s eaten and any concerns are raised. Health professionals who observed my LO in different settings to Olive Garden have also mentioned in a positive way it’s like they are seeing another child. I wouldn’t hesitate to send any child of mine to Olive Garden Nursery with or without SEN.
