Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The regular monitoring of children's progress enables staff to quickly identify any children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Targeted interventions are then devised and referrals made, if necessary, to help children to catch up with their peers.

Outdoor space

Outside play is a prominent part of the daily routine for all children. This is because staff understand that some children do not have access to an outside play area in their home life. Staff enable children to access a wide range of activities and resources during outdoor play, which enable children to thrive. For example, children play imaginatively and show an awareness of space as they manoeuvre around objects when riding bikes.

My son who is now 9 attended Once Upon a Time and now my daughter who is one does. 8 years difference between the two and they have the same key worker - a wholesome full circle moment that speaks a thousand words of the kind of staff once upon a time have. The staff who always greet me with a smile, positive attitude and are able to deal with any query in a prompt and efficient manner. My daughter’s day is always logged on the app, with progress photos, developments reports and the cutest pictures. Which makes going back to work after Maternity that much easier. I cannot recommend them enough, I trust them with my most prized possessions - Literally. — Bianca Clarke
