Orchard Day Nursery, established in 2015 and located in Daventry, Northamptonshire, provides a welcoming and inclusive "home-from-home" environment. The dedicated team, comprising 21 childcare staff with qualifications up to level 6 and a manager with early years professional status, prioritises putting children at the heart of everything they do.

The nursery offers an ambitious curriculum designed to provide children with essential cultural capital, carefully considering their individual experiences to enhance learning and development. Children enjoy a rich variety of activities, from special camping days with tents and ice cream to engaging in water play and exploring local shops and the brook.

Communication and language are exceptionally well promoted, with practitioners actively engaging babies in conversation and encouraging critical thinking in preschoolers. How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), thrive due to the team's strong commitment. Practitioners have completed a four-week course to enhance teaching and learning for children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Children have abundant opportunities to interact with the natural world in the nursery's extensive outdoor garden and forest-school area. They develop a deep sense of curiosity about minibeasts and plants, learn to take appropriate risks like climbing trees safely, and use tools such as drills, fostering physical well-being and self-esteem.
