Oscar Bears Day Care, established in 2011 and located in a converted rural building on the outskirts of Henfield, West Sussex, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from birth to four years old. The nursery, open 51 weeks a year from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, prides itself on strong partnerships with parents, who consistently praise the loving and attentive staff and excellent communication.

The dedicated team, with 15 out of 20 staff holding early years qualifications from Level 3 to Level 6, ensures that children are happy, eager to learn, and develop strong bonds with their key person. Leaders are highly ambitious and passionate about providing high-quality care and education, supporting staff through professional development and creating a family-like atmosphere where staff feel valued.

The curriculum is broad, covering all areas of learning, and activities are planned based on children's interests and developmental needs, helping all children make good progress from their starting points. Children demonstrate a love of books and are encouraged to develop independence, for example, by pouring their own drinks and tidying resources.

Oscar Bears Day Care was rated "Good" in its latest inspection on 28th July 2023, reflecting its commitment to fostering well-behaved, articulate, and considerate children.
