What it's like to attend

• Children are happy and excited to explore the wide range of activities on offer, eagerly seeking out friends to share experiences with and feeling safe and secure.
• Children have a wide vocabulary and articulate what they know and can do, with staff skilfully using everyday routines and a language-rich environment to support communication and language skills.
• Staff have high expectations of children's behaviour, using the nursery's 'golden goals' to help children understand expectations.
• Leaders and staff plan a well-thought-out, sequenced curriculum, recognising the importance of secure attachments for babies.
• Children take pride in themselves and know what makes them unique, engaging in activities like sharing experiences of the "travelling ted".
• Most staff know how children learn and how to teach them, effectively using technology to support children's interests and introduce new concepts.
• Leaders and staff have an ambitious curriculum for all children, ensuring good progress for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
• Staff and leaders build positive parent partnerships, with parents appreciating online updates, a friendly home-from-home environment, and nurturing staff who build close bonds with children.
• The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with leaders promoting a positive safeguarding culture and ensuring staff knowledge is up to date through regular questions and training.
