My son has been attending Village Day Nursery since he was five months old, obviously as he was quite young I was anxious to leave him but the small, family feel to the nursery made me feel confident he would be safe. As an Early Years specialist myself (to PhD level) I knew exactly what I wanted from a nursery, I viewed several in the area and although not 'Ofsted Outstanding', they are in my eyes and heart and that's why I chose them. The staff are excellent, they update me every day on what my son has done, they provide a range of experiences and an excellent menu, but most importantly my son literally jumps for joy when we pull up in the morning. I have no hesitations in recommending this nursery from both a personal and professional perspective - they are fantastic.

My daughter’s first nursery started when she was 11 months old and she has loved every day since starting. The staff are amazing in the baby room and make you feel very comfortable and reassured that your little one is well cared for. Updates provided thought the day through an app and it is lovely to see what she is doing whilst at work. Everyone knew her name within the first week and are very welcoming in a morning. The food provided by Scott the chef is always enjoyed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nursery very caring and supportive staff!

My little boy has struggled going to Nursery after fourteen months at home with me, the girls in the baby room have really made an effort to make him feel at home. You get lovely updates and pictures via the app in the day. Any queries I have, have been responded to via email or via telephone call. They accommodate my choice of nappies and the food options are great. He has developed so much in such a short space of time in areas that clearly are from Nursery support. Any concerns we have had have been responded to immediately.

We have been with the nursery for nearly 4 years now. It had a tough transition from private to chain nursery a couple of years ago resulting in a lot of changes staff and policy-wise. The staff there now (old and new) are lovely and friendly and have brought calm to what was a difficult time last year. It is one of the best nurseries in the area in our opinion and our son feels very comfortable there. The outdoor space is fab too.

Whilst staff in the rooms were amazing, I wouldn’t recommend this nursery if you want any communication whatsoever. I couldn’t even get a reply from management about my son’s days. After asking for weeks both through emails and over the phone for confirmation of his days, I ended up pulling him out and taking him elsewhere. He was enrolled in January and left in April and despite asking on numerous occasions, I was never given details for an iconnect account to see what he was up to at nursery, so I never even saw a single picture of him whilst he attended this nursery. I was over charged by over £500 on my childcare bill and had a threatening letter demanding money that I didn’t even owe. I was fully paid up by the time I received the letter, but my bill was unbelievably higher than it should have been and the manager somehow missed a payment of £250 that I had already made. The bill was put right and I was refunded what I was owed but it was a huge amount of unnecessary stress to deal with and big mistakes were made repeatedly with no apology. EDIT: In response to the reply, this review is purely based on my perspective as a parent, I’m currently working on a much more detailed review as a former employer and will share on more appropriate platforms such as glass door and indeed. I did decide to reduce my son’s hours, but as you would not reply to me after weeks of trying, I then decided to leave. I clearly state my reasons for pulling my son on in the original review. We clearly have a very different opinion of support and assistance - but I’ll go into much further detail of that in my employment review. The missed payment was one of many, many mistakes made after I left, but again this review was solely based on my thoughts as a parent, until you decided to also bring my employment into the matter. It’s laughable you should tell me not to hesitate to contact the nursery directly, considering I tried on many occasions and as a result of been repeatedly ignored I chose to terminate my son’s place (as clearly stated in the original review) and ended my employment with you. In fact, since leaving I have contacted you 4 times asking for my First Aid certificate, again both through email and over the phone, but was of course ignored and I had to contact someone in another department.
