Parents are fully involved in their children's learning journey from the outset. When gaps are identified in children's progress, staff are quick to seek the support of other professionals.

Outdoor space

Children play in the garden every day. Staff plan some activities for children here; however, these are not well thought out, and staff do not provide a good range of resources that interest children and motivate them to explore. Consequently, children do not benefit from the same rich learning experiences as they do in their rooms, and some children wander around with little focus for their play.

Woodlands day nursery is a wonderful nursery. My SEN daughter attended woodlands for over 4 years. Over those years, her needs drastically increased and the team at woodlands supported her and us every step of the way. They've done everything they can to help my daughter progress. Woodlands Nursery has such a warm and loving atmosphere and the staff truly care about the children.

My daughter had a wonderful experience at Woodlands Day Nursery. The staff all took the time to build positive relationships with her and ensured she was well cared for. Her dairy intolerance was facilitated well too. My daughter enjoyed each day she spent there and always looked forward to a nursery day!

My daughter has been attending Woodlands since January, she settled into nursery really well and has a really good bond with everyone in the baby room and the staff across the setting. She loves all the different activities they do in the baby room and its good getting updates during the day knowing what my daughter has eaten etc.

Our little one has been going to Woodlands Day nursery since he was 12 months old and we have had a wonderful experience. He has been a bit quiet and shy as we have moved rooms, but staff have handled it all in a really nice way and he has settled quickly every time! I have always felt really supported and never worried about him being in nursery. They have handled sickness well and he is having a lovely time there! Activities in the daytime and we have no concerns with his development. Potty training was well supported too. He is now in pre school and seems to have a good time there too! Recently there has been some staffing shortages, which has been a little noticeable, but the core staff are so wonderful and work so hard! We found the offer of some extra days in the lead up to Christmas and holidays very helpful, but I am not sure they will manage that this year! But that is only minor! Our first nursery experience and it had been lovely!

Such a lovely nursery, my little boy was there from 10 months to school and now my little girl is loving it. The staff are caring, always willing to help and have always gone above and beyond to help my little ones develop. They take time to get to know them and the things that they enjoy doing, and create activities relevant. The facilities are great, especially the outdoor spaces. Would highly reccomend
