Pembury School House Nursery provides a nurturing environment for early childhood education, focusing on stimulating activities and experiences. The nursery values children's interests to plan learning opportunities and offers a free-flow indoor-outdoor setting, even providing wet weather gear.

With a high staff-to-child ratio and qualified practitioners, the nursery ensures individual development is supported and learning remains engaging. The academic year is structured into six terms, aligning with local primary school calendars, totaling 38 weeks.

Sessions are available mornings, afternoons, and all-day, with dedicated lunch clubs. For new children, shorter settling-in sessions are implemented for the initial four weeks.

The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, emphasising quality, consistency, and a secure foundation for learning through positive relationships and enabling environments. The nursery champions equality and anti-discriminatory practices, ensuring every child, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, is included and supported.

A key person scheme is in place to foster strong bonds between practitioners, children, and families, ensuring individualised attention and curriculum planning. The nursery actively involves parents through regular consultations and an open-door policy.

Beyond daily learning, the nursery engages in fundraising events each term to enhance the setting, with past improvements including a restructured sandpit, an all-weather learning shack, classroom redecoration, improved disabled access, and new handrails, demonstrating a continuous commitment to facility enhancement and child involvement in planning future updates.
