Pippins boasts a spacious outdoor area where children can cycle, play games, tend to a vegetable patch, and engage in creative play in the mud kitchen. Outdoor play is prioritised regardless of weather conditions, recognising its importance for a child’s health, development, and well-being.

The preschool limits its session capacity to 20 children, ensuring a focused environment that caters to individual needs and helps children reach their full potential. Pippins also emphasises the importance of parents' involvement through "Stay and Play" sessions.

The curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with learning developing through child-initiated interests balanced with adult-led activities. The preschool also offers the Early Talk Boost Programme to support children with delayed language skills.

What it's like

Children are happy and settled at the pre-school, and their behaviour demonstrates how much they enjoy themselves. Staff create a welcoming and calm environment, where they provide a wealth of activities to interest children. Children happily enter and go straight to the large outdoor area.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged per session for children aged two to four years, with options for morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions. The nursery requests a voluntary contribution per session for children utilising government-funded hours.
