The dedicated team upholds the Pixies ethos, and Marina aims to further support children with additional needs, offering enriching experiences. The nursery operates across four rooms: Babies, 2-3s, Preschool, and Sessional Preschool.

Additionally, it offers "PB’s School’s Out Club" which provides breakfast, after-school, and holiday care for school-aged children up to eight years old. Pixies Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, for 51 weeks of the year, closing only for bank holidays and over Christmas.

The nursery boasts a spacious and securely fenced garden, thoughtfully landscaped to create an enchanting outdoor environment with features like a mud kitchen and various activities to support children’s development. The nursery prioritises safety with high-level security and fire systems.

Pricing & funding

Fees are structured on an hourly basis depending on the session type selected, including morning, afternoon, school day, full day, and full-time rates. Standard rates exclude meals, which are billed as separate session-based food charges. Additional termly, early start, and late finish fees also apply.

Good to know

  • No charges apply when the nursery is closed for Christmas, New Year, and some Bank Holidays.
  • A 10% sibling discount is offered on the oldest child's fees for sessions attended by both children.

  • Fees must be paid monthly in advance by direct debit on or after the 5th of each month.
  • Contracts are available for Term Time Only or All Year Round.
  • Consumable charge of £0.50 applies per funded hour.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children who need some extra help receive good support. For example, through focused language group activities. Staff follow the guidance from other professionals to help set targets for children's development. Staff carefully consider the use of additional funding to provide effective support for children's needs.

Outdoor space

Outside, toddlers practise skills while having fun as they play with water. Children use their physical skills to tip the water down a drainpipe. Babies enjoy spinning shiny discs hanging from the trees, reaching up to move these. All ages of children experience challenges outdoors, such as learning to negotiate slopes while riding different types of wheeled toys.

Our two children have been at Pixies for a total of over four years and they (and we) have loved every second. The staff are kind, thoughtful and so attentive. You won't find a better nursery/preschool!!!
