Playsteps Day Nursery, established in 2006, offers quality care and early education for children aged 0 to 5. With two accessible locations in Swindon, Church Place and Kembrey Park, the nursery is committed to providing a supportive and educational environment.

It operates 51 weeks a year, closing for one week at Christmas and on Bank Holidays, offering both full-time and part-time childcare options. Each nursery has its own distinctive features; Church Place, the original site, is set in a purpose-adapted listed building and includes a dedicated outdoor Forest School area, while Kembrey Park provides additional capacity in a business park setting.

Playsteps aims to be a "home from home" for children, fostering curiosity and building a foundation for lifelong learning through a variety of educational activities, including arts and crafts and outdoor exploration. The experienced team is dedicated to supporting each child's unique developmental journey.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Overall, children's communication and language are well supported, including children with a speech delay and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The leadership team works closely with the local authority, staff, parents and external professionals, using assessments of children's individual needs. Staff implement children's individual education plans to close any gaps in children's learning.

Outdoor space

Children have access to a good outdoor environment, including a well-resourced forest area. This helps to promote their physical development as they climb, jump, and navigate uneven ground.
