Pride & Joy Childcare, established in 2013, provides outstanding care and education for children aged 0-4 years within a nurturing environment. Open all year round, from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6 pm, the nursery ensures a familiar routine, helping children feel safe and secure.
The meticulously planned curriculum builds on children's existing knowledge, fostering high levels of engagement as they confidently participate in activities that align with their interests. Children exhibit exemplary behaviour, using good manners and showing respect for staff and peers.
Staff effectively support children's communication, language, and early literacy skills, from babies enjoying music sessions to pre-schoolers engaging in early phonics. The nursery promotes a love of reading, with children choosing books independently and enthusiastically discussing their favourites.
Leaders and staff are passionate about continuously striving for improvement, with ambitious plans to further develop their outdoor provision for nature exploration. The nursery also has robust Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision, with a dedicated SENDCo who proactively works with external agencies to ensure children receive the necessary support, including accessing advice and funding.
Parents commend the exceptional care and education, describing staff as an extended family who offer invaluable support and advice, noting their children have blossomed academically and socially since joining. The setting embraces diversity, encouraging children to learn about various lifestyles and cultures through monthly topics and celebrations like Hanukkah, Eid, Easter, Christmas, and Diwali.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff identify and monitor any delays and put support in place to bridge gaps in learning. Children with identified special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive targeted support from the special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo). The SENDCo works proactively with external agencies to access advice and funding to ensure children receive the support they need.
Leaders have ambitious plans to further develop their outdoor provision to provide more space for children to explore nature. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors.
