Inclusion & environment
Leaders support and train key persons to review and implement the individual plans and learning needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Parents appreciate the guidance provided to access any additional support they need for their children's specific needs. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
Leaders and staff place a strong focus on outdoor adventurous learning to complement children's experiences from home. Leaders have recently analysed how children are accessing and interacting with the learning environment and have modified the indoor and outdoor play spaces to maximise children's learning. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
We are so happy with this nursery. When my little one first started, she was one of the youngest, and it’s been incredible to see how much she’s grown and developed into such a smart little toddler. At just 2 years old she loves singing, knows her colours, can count all the way to 14, and names all her animals — it honestly amazes us every day. The staff are absolutely lovely and genuinely care about the children. They’re always open and transparent if there are any concerns, which gives us so much peace of mind when we’re at work. Knowing she’s in such safe, caring hands means everything to us. We couldn’t recommend this nursery enough ❤️

I would recommend this nursery, and I have recommended conifers to anybody I know! My son started here at just 6 months and I felt as soon as I left him with the staff that he was safe and as a mom feeling like your child is safe with anyone other than you is hard to find so Thankyou for doing that for our family! Brilliant staff, brilliant nursery and brilliant teaching! 1000000% would send any of my children here without hesitation! Patrick is the biggest fan! He has learnt so much already and conifers just feels like home to us now! It is Patrick's home away from home and I can't wait to see how he thrives in the years to come all because of conifers!

My son had a really hard time settling in because he wasnt used to not being with me and Conifers staff went out their way to support him settling with extra sessions. Now, 5 months later, he is so happy every day he goes that he doesn't even wave goodbye! He loves all the staff now, and is making little friends. Its such a relief to know he is cared for and supported so that I don't have to worry about him while I am at work, and - bonus - he comes home exhausted which isnt easy for a 1 year old with so much energy! I especially love that they do Forest School so that the children are outside getting fresh air. They also have done several fun events for parents to come along and its so great to be there and get to see he enjoys himself, he is happy and confident, and to know that I wont be the one cleaning up the messy activity!

I am so grateful for everything this nursery has done for my child over the past eight months. The progress has been incredible. The staff are patient, supportive, and truly dedicated to helping children thrive. One thing I appreciate deeply is how proactive they are with additional needs. They arranged for a SEN teacher to provide 1:1 support, and it has made such a positive difference. They also make sure that any funding is fully used to support my child’s development, whether through extra resources, tailored activities, or even thoughtful items that help him feel comfortable and engaged. Since joining the nursery, my child has shown huge improvements in communication, social interaction, and overall development. The team always communicates with me, listens to my concerns, and celebrates every win. He has become more confident, more independent, and much happier. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing, inclusive, and truly supportive environment.

My son has been attending Conifers for over a year now, and we absolutely love the positive energy of the staff. They are always upbeat and happy, creating an environment where my son is excited to attend. He runs in every day, greeting everyone with a hug. I've seen the team in action with the kids, and they do an amazing job fostering independence and learning. Since joining the nursery, my son has excelled tremendously, and I am deeply appreciative of the outstanding care they provide. Knowing he is happy and well taken care of while I'm at work gives me great peace of mind.
