Inclusion & environment
Children are making good progress, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The special educational needs coordinator ensures that she has a thorough knowledge of the children in the setting. Children with SEND are identified quickly to ensure that the correct support is provided. She works well with parents to include them and create a two-way process of support for the children.
Children enjoy using the garden to practise their physical skills, running and climbing over assault courses with control. They also use mark-making tools like chalks and crayons to draw on fences and floors. Children take pride in their growing area, tending to strawberries, and make butterfly feeders to encourage butterflies.
