About this day nursery

Princes Risborough Nursery, founded by two brothers and their sisters-in-law, offers a unique childcare experience near the mainline station in Princes Risborough. Driven by their own experiences as parents, the founders aim to provide a safe and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and explore.

The nursery prioritises child-led development through play, following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and incorporating Montessori elements. They emphasise outdoor learning with daily garden exploration and strive to foster a love for learning through engaging and laughter-filled days.

The nursery also focuses on providing nutritious meals prepared on-site with fresh, seasonal ingredients, encouraging healthy eating habits and social interaction during mealtimes. Committed to environmental consciousness, they minimise their impact by using wooden toys and furniture and encouraging eco-friendly transportation.

Additionally, the nursery values its staff, offering flexible contracts to ensure a happy and enthusiastic team, and fosters strong links with the local community through visits from local businesses and trips to the park. Their operational hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, catering to parents needing long day options, and they provide amenities like bike and pushchair parking for commuter convenience.

Our ethos

We want your child to be whatever they want to be and to do this we want to create a learning by play, child-led environment in which they can experience, explore and grow. Our staff will focus on the individual journey of each child – we are all different and our staff will ensure that they have a wide knowledge of children’s interests to match them as they grow. We will follow the Early Years foundation Stage and where possible include Montessori elements to enrich the children’s learning and growing at every stage. Outside learning is paramount and our outside garden will be explored by the children every day.
