Inclusion & environment
Staff promptly notice if children risk falling behind and provide additional support. They work closely with parents to ensure children can access help at home. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities benefit from staff working closely with other professionals. Staff actively tailor their support to meet the unique needs of each child by taking advice from relevant professionals and quickly putting in place the needed support. Staff are proactive in making referrals for children and understand the evidence necessary for children to receive extra help and funding.
The indoor and outdoor environments are outstanding. They provide many opportunities for new experiences that spark children's curiosity. Older children use the outdoor equipment to build upper body strength by swinging, climbing and pulling themselves up. They enjoy risky play as they crawl and balance over ladders.
I first viewed Puddleducks in June 2023 and my now oldest daughter started 6 weeks later. It is a fantastic setting with brilliant facilities both indoor and outdoor. The large playground, pet chickens and dedicated sensory room are great, things that no other local nursery had to offer. The additional activities like the mobile library and ice cream visits as well as mini ballet lessons and mini athletics sessions are fantastic additions to the already extensive range of activites. Every single member of staff is professional yet super friendly, they know all the children names. It was only natural that my second daughter would also attend, I have no doubt that I will also use the out of school holiday club when they are at primary school. Both my girls adore going to nursery and that is down to the hard work and dedication of the 5 star team of staff at Puddleducks. I can’t thank you all or recommend you enough.
Read on GoogleOur little boy has attended Puddleducks for the last 2 years and absolutely loves it! He is always so excited to go to nursery in the morning and comes home so happy and chatting away about all the fun things he has been up to! I was very anxious about sending our son to nursery, but the staff were absolutely amazing and made me feel so relaxed - I knew he was in safe hands! And it is lovely to receive photos every week to see what he has been up to throughout the day. Our little girl will be attending Puddleducks next year when I go back to work after maternity leave too - I wouldn’t want to send her anywhere else.
Read on GoogleOur child has been at Puddleducks for the past 3 years all of which have been amazing. Kim and the team bring such a personal touch, this is more than childcare. They are a family and have such love for your children. This is a very popular nursery and definitely worth the waiting list.
Read on GoogleI want to start by saying this nursery and the staff are OUTSTANDING! Everything about Puddleducks is 5 star! *The staff are engaged and care for the children, providing them with what they need as individuals *The food is well prepared and tasty (my son did not eat anything other than milk before starting nursery and just after 1 month here, is eating so much at home and at nursery) *The office staff are helpful, patient and kind *The extra curricular activities and events are so wholesome and interesting for the children. From Hartbeeps & Makaton to the activities the staff do every day with the children *The countryside location is safe and unique. The children get to go for walks to a local farm, the country park and there is even a normal park with swings and a slide next to the nursery. I have nothing negative to say about Puddleducks. If you are looking for a place for your child, this has to be your first choice.
Read on GoogleOur 4 year old son has attended Puddlesducks since he was 11 months old and they have been fantastic at every stage. The extra touches such as athletics, ice cream van visits, petting farm vists and hartbeeps show how much they care about the children and their experiences. They are constantly investing and improving the already fantastic facilities. Our daughter will also be starting this yea, we couldn’t imagine sending her anywhere else! I couldn’t recommend it more highly.
