Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is instrumental in ensuring children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make equally as good progress from their starting points, as their peers. She seeks advice from external professionals and works closely with parents to meet these children's individual needs effectively. The nursery's SENCo models language interventions targeted at children with speech delay, equipping staff to continue these focused teaching activities.
Children are free to choose from a wide range activities, indoors and outdoors. Later in the day, children delight in searching for insects in the garden. Children access the garden daily for fresh air and exercise.
My daughter has been attending for well over a year now, starting in the midst of the pandemic. She has been attending full time, enjoys going to nursery each day and is making great progress. The staff show great care and support the children really well with all aspects of their development. They set up lovely learning environments and opportunities for the kids, and there is a 'home from home' feel. We visited a few nurseries but they felt very 'corporate' compared to Pumpkin Patch which didn't suit us. We would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to others.
Read on GoogleA fabulous home from home nursery. My son started in 2019 and stayed until he left for school. Our daughter now attends, having started in June 2022. Both my children have attended from 9 months of age, part time. The staff are all wonderful, very dedicated and my children have formed strong attachments to them. The curiosity approach used at the nursery has helped develop a wonderful imagination in my children and they both love(d) attending. As parents we receive great communication from staff and are made to feel part of the Pumpkin Patch family. We would highly recommend this nursery!
Read on GoogleOur daughter has been going to Pumpkin Patch since January this year. The staff are friendly, personable and shape the nursery experience around her specific needs and wants. We’re given pictures and videos of her progress, have many crafts at home that have been made with love and get full updates on all food, drink and changes required throughout the day. Reusable nappies weren’t a problem, and dietary requirements are catered for. Our daughter always comes out with a laugh and cuddles or high fives the staff members goodbye. Her development has come along leaps and bounds, and we feel so safe and secure knowing that we can trust our daughter to be a part of such a wonderful place.
Read on GooglePumpkin Patch Farnborough is a lovely small nursery and my son (toddler age) really loves it and has fun! The staff are really friendly, polite and welcoming, and I know my son is well looked after. They have a great outside space and spend lots of time outside alongside lots of other activities. The manager is also lovely, amazing at her job and great at communication, the staff also make daily updates on what the children have been up to. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking.
