Purple Jay Lewisham is a brilliant nursery. Our little one is always so excited to go to nursery, has settled well and made lots of friends. Staff are caring and kind, and we’ve always been really reassured by frequent updates, great and varied activities and taking safety seriously. It’s a fairly small nursery, which gives and a friendly feel where everyone knows each other. The garden space is also fab!

My eldest started Purple Jay Lewisham 9 months ago, the difference in him is amazing. His interaction and confidence around other children has grown hugely plus he is more open to experience different foods that he may refuse at home. He has also taken well to using the toilet more often. We love the pictures of him being creative as part of a group and we also feel he is coming out as more of an individual also. From day one, all of the staff have been amazing and super friendly, our boy often speaks about the staff when at home and is always excited when he goes in.

We’re very happy with the care that Purple Jay Lewisham provide for our daughter. It has a lovely vibe with a great outdoor area, which they use a lot (a big plus for us!). Our girl has made lots of good friends with other children and the staff and she often runs through the gate at drop off without even saying bye to us 🥲. The staff are helpful and communicative. We would certainly recommend Purple Jay Lewisham.

My eldest child has attended Purple Jay Lewisham for over three years. She has thrived there. The staff are exceptionally caring and make each day fun, different and interesting for the children. My son has recently joined the nursery also and has settled in seemlessly. Staff at all levels have taken time to get to know him well and help him to feel safe and secure at nursery. Communication is excellent and we recieve regular updates on learning activities. Staff prioritise handover time and we are given ample opportunity to find out about our childrens' day. Similarly, staff are fantastic at sending messages throughout the week with photos of what the children have been doing. A highlight for us is the emphasis the nursery place on the enjoyment of reading and stories. Using initiatives such as: dress up days, family book swaps, story bags and reading tents, the nursery have captured our little ones imaginations and helped to get them hooked on books. Would highly recommend this nursery.

This nursery is building a positive reputation for itself. As with any new nursery, there are ups and downs, but the space for toddlers and babies is second to none in the area. The staff find ways, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage creativity. My son really enjoys his time there, and I appreciate the themes, dress-up days, and the focus on learning through play. They recently received a good Ofsted rating, which was something I was waiting to see. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery.
