Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive personalised support, with staff adapting activities and ensuring an inclusive environment. Staff are proactive in making referrals to other professionals and work closely with portage and occupational therapists. Plans for children with SEND are regularly reviewed and adapted to ensure continued progress. Leaders think carefully about how to support children further using additional funding to enhance their learning, with funds spent on individual children's learning requirements, such as resources for communication support. The setting works closely with other professionals to ensure children with SEND receive the support they need.
Children have daily access to outdoor learning, where they enjoy opportunities to be active and explore with their friends. They enjoy being physically active, spinning hoops and climbing on soft play. Leaders have plans to improve the outdoor area further.
My children have been looked after by Rachael for the last 5 years (as a childminder prior to opening the nursery) Both of my children love going to the nursery (one is 2 and has been there since 9 months and the other is 5 years old and goes in the school holidays) I always know they will be safe and happy. The staff take excellent care of the children and are all lovely and helpful. I cannot recommend Rachael's Rascals enough.
