About this day nursery

Rainbow Nursery, located in Frome, Somerset, has been providing childcare since 2008 from its converted premises at 44 Portway. The nursery, which is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm all year round, except for bank holidays and a week over Christmas, caters to children from birth to four years old.

It currently has 93 children on roll and offers 44 places. The dedicated team of 15 staff, including a manager who also acts as the Special Educational Needs Coordinator, ensures a welcoming and rich learning environment for all children.

The nursery embraces an "in the moment" planning approach and the "curiosity approach" to foster confidence, creativity, and imagination in children. Parents consistently provide positive feedback, noting their children's good progress and increased confidence during their time at Rainbow Nursery, particularly highlighting the effective communication from staff.

The setting was last inspected on 10th March 2022 and received a "Good" rating across all areas, maintaining its previous "Good" rating. It actively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities by working closely with external agencies to implement effective plans.

Furthermore, the nursery provides funded early education for two, three, and four-year-olds.

My daughter loves her time at Rainbow. The staff are wonderful and the children all seem happy and excited to go in. Great garden and mud kitchen etc. Such a lovely place.
