About this day nursery

Rainbow Pre-School and Out of School Club, established in 2001, provides a nurturing environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. 30pm respectively.

School holiday care is also offered, subject to demand. Children attending the pre-school are eager to participate in stimulating activities that help them progress in their learning, as noted in the "Good" Ofsted inspection on 27th January 2022.

The dedicated staff are adept at understanding each child's individual needs, fostering confident learners. The outdoor area is well-equipped, allowing children to engage in physical play, such as creating their own assault courses, and explore nature, including observing bugs, demonstrating consideration for others.

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well-supported, with staff collaborating with other professionals to create tailored plans that ensure good progress for all. Inside, children are encouraged to be independent in the creative area, selecting resources and confidently sharing their artwork.

Staff also promote speech and language development by introducing new vocabulary during play and providing mark-making resources throughout the setting to encourage early writing skills. The pre-school also encourages children's understanding of the world around them by growing fruits and vegetables, which they enjoy at snack times, linking to healthy eating and the origins of food.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported to achieve. Staff have plans in place that have been created with other professionals. This ensures that all children make good progress.

Outdoor space

Children relish spending time in the well-resourced outside area, using their physical skills to create self-made assault courses safely, using a range of natural resources. They are considerate of others' needs when exploring bugs outside and move so others can have a turn.
