What it's like to attend

• Staff greet children warmly when they enter nursery, and children are independent to find their own name and register their attendance.
• Parents report the team go above and beyond their duty to meet their children's needs, and their views feed into the curriculum.
• Staff place a high importance on children's communication, language and literacy skills, using speech and language charts to monitor progress.
• Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities have equal participation in group activities, and staff support their personal, social and emotional needs.
• Managers track the impact of the curriculum, particularly in mathematics, leading to good progress in children's mathematical development.
• The manager, who is hands-on and an enthusiastic role model, provides purposeful training for staff to positively impact their professional development.
• Staff work collaboratively with primary school teachers to promote school readiness, with a "pathway tool" built in partnership to understand learning needs before school.
