What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

Parents express how their children enjoy attending the nursery.

They feel their children are developing well through the experiences planned and provided by the staff.

Parents explain that they receive regular feedback about their child's daily care and their ongoing development.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

Outdoor space

Regular risk assessment checks are completed inside and outside to ensure all areas remain safe for children to use. Changes to how space and resources are organised and used, have resulted in more engaging play areas for children to access.

EAL / language support

Several children speak English as an additional language. However, there are inconsistencies with how staff support these children to use their home language in their play and learning. This is because there is an over reliance on the staff who do speak additional languages to support these children.

Our little boy really likes Rainbow Rays. We feel so confident as parents that he is being well looked after and that the staff are helping him to develop. They know him well and are always able to tell us the things he has said and done over the day when we pick him up. We also really appreciate the flexibility - we've been able to bring him in for extra hours/days at very short notice which has helped us juggle things at home and work. Highly recommend to other parents.

This is an amazing nursery. It's small enough that there is a really personalised approach to childcare. The staff really get to know and connect with the little ones. It's no frills - no fancy apps that update parents every hour - but the basics are nailed, and it's also probably the cheapest nursery around. Our little one absolutely loves it there. He's always talking about the staff and what he got up to. Strongly recommend!

We love the individual care and attention both our children have received over the last five years. As a small nursery, they offer a family feel and a flexibility that is truly special.

We have sent two of our children to Rainbow Rays and have found it an excellent nursery. Children are happy and staff are kind, well trained and helpful. Would use them again without a second thought.
