The Sheffield City College Nursery offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from 6 months to 5 years old, operating 50 weeks a year, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Located next to the Sheffield City Campus, this 60-place purpose-built facility is designed with comprehensive security features and staffed by highly qualified and experienced professionals.
The nursery is committed to fostering each child's development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, utilising age-appropriate activities and resources within designated Yellow (6 months to 2 years), Blue (2-3 years), and Red (3-5 years) rooms. They also feature a sensory room for quiet time and sensory development, and a children's library to encourage early literacy.
The nursery maintains an active Parents' Forum for feedback and offers specialist insights. During school holidays, they extend their care to school children up to 7 years old, organising various engaging activities and outings.
The nursery received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection in 2023, highlighting its welcoming environment and the safety children feel within the setting.

Children arrive happily and ready to play, choosing their name label and placing it on their peg, showing a sense of belonging. Staff are affectionate and engage babies and young children in activities, recognising learning opportunities and supporting language development through simple language and sign language. They also foster a love for books and reading, encouraging listening and turn-taking.
Fees are structured around half-day sessions, full days, and early morning hourly care. Morning sessions and daily rates include lunch, while snacks are charged separately. These rates apply from September 2025.
