Inclusion & environment
All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points. The knowledgeable special educational needs coordinator ensures that any gaps in development are discussed with parents and that referrals are put into place quickly. She understands the support that is there for children and ensures that staff understand each child's individual needs.
When there are disputes about the popular cars in the outside area, staff guide the children to use sand timers to encourage sharing and turn-taking. Staff narrate alongside the children in the garden when they are constructing, using phrases like, 'I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down'.
Lily has absolutely thrived during her time at this nursery, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the wonderful team of girls who work there. Every single one of them is so kind, patient, and genuinely caring. We always felt welcomed, supported, and part of a real community. Each morning, Lily would run in excitedly and be greeted with hugs and big smiles, it was clear how loved and safe she felt there. And most days, she struggled to leave because she was having such a wonderful time. The regular updates were such a comfort, photos, little stories about her day, and notes on her progress. It meant so much to see how engaged she was and how much attention the staff gave her. A very special thank you to Lily’s key worker, Lisa H, who supported her so beautifully. Lily also built such a close bond with Kerry, who made her feel extra special. And thank you as well to Lisa W, Courtney, and Amanda all of you played such an important part in her growth and happiness. So a big thank you to Lucy and her team for leading such a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment. The love and dedication they pour into the nursery shines through every day. Lily has come on so much since being there. Her confidence, social skills, and independence have blossomed, and I know that’s down to the nurturing environment they’ve created. We miss them all so much already, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for Lily. I would recommend this nursery wholeheartedly to any parent looking for a safe, loving, and inspiring place for their child.
Read on GoogleMy son has been going here for a year and I really cannot fault this nursery, hours are perfect for working families, staff are welcoming friendly and kind. Regular updates on tapestry with what they've been up to throughout the week. Lots of lovely activities to keep them busy through the day. My son loves going here and mentions regularly how yummy the food is too. My little boy is shy with new people, but I can really see just how much time they put in with the children to get to know their individual personalities. Highly recommended nursery 💖
Read on GoogleMy daughter has just finished her last year at nursery & has absolutely loved it. The teachers are loving, caring & patient with all the children, especially those who sometimes don’t want to go through the front door. I cannot wait for my next little one to attend. Will always recommend you to my friends with children.
Read on GoogleMy son started attending rainbows in January. Since then, he has made tremendous development in his speech, eating (he barely ate anything) socialisation. My son thoroughly enjoys nursery and even plays 'nursery' at the weekend. They do a range of activities that challenge and educate the children whilst having a great deal of fun. All the staff are brilliant and form great relationships with the students. Fantastic nursery. My daughter will also be going here when she turns 2.
Read on GoogleI would 1000% recommend this amazing nursery. My son has been going to Rainbows for 2 years now. He absolutely loves it and loves all of his nursery teachers so much (some even more than mummy 🤣). He has learnt so much from attending Rainbows. All the staff are lovely and so welcoming with smiles and laughs all round, nothing is too much trouble. I’m so sad that my son will be leaving to go to school this year, I think I’ll be crying more than him. Thank you Rainbows Nursery for giving Carter the best start to his learning journey and me the peace of mind knowing he is being looked after by amazing, caring people. 🩷
