When children are motivated and following their own interests, they learn rapidly while not even being aware of their learning and, even better, they have great fun in doing so! Play and learning by doing are the golden rules at Red Wellies! We ask not whether the child is ready for the nursery but whether the nursery is ready for the child!

Jo and Richard run a fantastically well organised nursery. Our son started here when he was 10 months old and we have been very pleased with how welcoming and at home we were made to feel from the start. We are very impressed with the level of communication throughout the pandemic and they were always able to maintain very high standards. Staff are here are excellent and always very happy to help with any extra requests or questions we may have, nothing is ever too much trouble. We feel very valued and involved in our son's care at Red Wellies and which for us is the most important. We would very much recommend Red Wellies to other parents when choosing a nursery, we are very happy!

We have recently had our eldest child graduate from Red Wellies (2021). From his start in the baby room to his time in Pre School, we could not have been happier. He is more than ready for school and has been nurtured into a well rounded, outdoor enthusiast. Any issues or concerns (Covid being a perfect example) have been communicated brilliantly by the team and management throughout and in a timely manner. The team ensure you feel comfortable leaving your child with them, they work together wonderfully and are both professional and nurturing.

I am so grateful to Jo and the team for the effort they have made helping my son settle into nursery. Everyone is so attentive and the children really are their first priority. Jo is extremely experienced and has gone above and beyond to support both me and my son with the transition into nursery. I highly recommend Red Wellies!

My eldest son has just completed 3.5 years, my younger son has been at RW for 8 months, both love every minute there. Staff are brilliant with children, have great relationships with children & parents and are incredibly knowledgeable about children’s behaviour. Nutrition & education are key at the nursery, it’s the reason we chose RW & couldn’t be happier with our choice. I read the Ofsted complaints based on another review and can honestly say the experience we’ve had with the nursery does not reflect either the review or the ofsted report. I’ve always felt safe leaving my children with the staff & genuinely believe they have the best care and intentions for the children in their care. My eldest is joining school already loving learning & the school environment as he’s had so much experience of it with the teacher trained/qualified pre school staff. He has already learned all of the targets for his 1st year as he has been learning it for the past year.
