The pre-school strives to support families with applications, particularly those for whom English is an additional language or who require extra assistance due to a disability. They welcome children of all genders, backgrounds, religions, and ethnicities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Children can join from two years old, depending on space and their individual readiness, and can stay until the term before their fifth birthday. The pre-school generally recommends younger children start with two sessions per week and gradually increase their attendance as places become available and as the child adapts.

Children arrive at the pre-school ready for their play and learning. Staff adopt strategies that are effective in enabling all children to settle quickly and engage in the activities and experiences on offer. Children delight in imaginative play, and develop skills they need to manage their behaviours and emotions.
