Rotunda Nursery, located in Liverpool (L5 2PL), was established in 2001 and operates as a full-day care childcare setting. It is part of a broader charity-based organisation, which extends its support to parents through various 'enabling services' such as advice sessions, employability skills training, and a 'food shed,' helping families with practical needs like providing healthy meals.
The nursery maintains a strong focus on children's language development, with staff using descriptive words to enrich vocabulary and supporting both babies in using single words and toddlers in forming short sentences. Children, including those with English as an additional language, show good progress in their communication skills.
The dedicated team of seven childcare staff members, with varied qualifications including early years teacher status and Level 3 qualifications, ensures a nurturing environment where children from 1 to 3 years old can thrive. The nursery is open all year round, weekdays from 8am to 6pm, offering funded early education for two, three, and four-year-olds.

Inclusion & environment
Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well, completing training, making swift assessments, and timely referrals for support. They work closely with other professionals and parents to offer targeted support, and children with SEND make good progress from their starting points.
Children benefit from outdoor learning experiences, such as lifting large logs to look at bugs and using magnifying glasses to count insect legs. They develop skills of exploration and build their knowledge of nature.
Children, including those who speak English as an additional language, make good progress in their speech and communication development. Staff use pictures or real objects to communicate with children who are developing their understanding of spoken words.
I was I introduced to this place from probation in 2019 (witch I believe they are handsomely Compensated for) I suffer with terrible mental health and I can tell you this place makes it worst, basically because they don’t care. It’s not there problem, they never call you with updates or anything, they’ve lost important documentation medical records etc, when your sick of phoning in you make your way down there and everyone is on leave 🤷🏻♂️ for a place with much potential it’s a shame that you have so many incompetent people under one roof.
