Inclusion & environment
Staff carefully consider the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those children who speak English as an additional language. They use visual aids, such as objects and pictures, alongside verbal instructions, to help all children follow the nursery's routines. Children with SEND and those receiving additional funding are well supported at the nursery. Leaders and staff work in partnership with parents and external professionals, to identify where children need extra help. They use finding effectively and provide lots of tailored support, to help close the gaps in children's learning and development.
Staff ensure that children play outdoors daily and provide some opportunities for vigorous exercise, such as jumping activities and outings to a local park. However, they do not consistently identify when children would benefit from more physical activity, such as when children struggle to sit down at group times or want to run indoors. This can hinder children who need to use their large muscles and practise these essential skills.
My son attended this nursery and loved it. He was constantly speaking about his teachers and what he has learned. The practitioners here are passionate about their role and loves the children very much. Practitioners always made sure that they communicate any concerns and feedback with me no matter how little/minor it may be. I will highly recommend this nursery to parents looking for a safe space for their child.
Read on GoogleWholeheartedly these angels, and to mention in particular Ms Joy (my little ones favourite at nursery, loves her and misses her when not around!) MS Julia, Ms Esther, Ms Joyce aside from the entire team have given me and my child the warmth and love from the moment - yes the moment I entered the nursery to enquire about spaces and registration. You can hear as walking past, the happiness and laughter of the children reflecting efforts by this underrated team. Incredibly dedicated. Passionate for each child and speaking with the parents. What a privilege. My child is a SEN child and had developed and improved drastically from his presence there. E.g language, interaction, behaviour, regulation of emotion. Ms Joy, the special SENCO staff, communicated well with social worker and met deadlines of ECHP before due. I have seen and felt the love the staff have got for every child how they speak to the parents and the beautiful reputation they deserve to have spread. Sending abundance of best wishes and gratitude from my little one and me. All our love and beyond ❤️
