Saint Jerome's Pre-School Playgroup, registered in 2002 and located in Liverpool, provides a nurturing and welcoming 'Good' rated environment for children aged 2 to 11. 50 am to 6 pm, the playgroup fosters close bonds between children and staff, ensuring every child feels safe and secure.

The setting benefits from a broad and balanced curriculum, offering a variety of first-hand experiences, such as observing ducklings hatch and learning about nature. Children are encouraged to be independent by serving their own snacks and pouring their own drinks, preparing them for future learning.

The playgroup emphasises strong parent partnerships, actively involving parents in activities like first-aid training and story reading, and offering a lending library to support continuity in learning at home. While they effectively support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and utilise pupil premium funding, the nursery aims to enhance opportunities for children to learn about diverse cultures and communities, and to improve information sharing with other settings children attend.

The dedicated team, with most holding Level 3 qualifications, ensures good progress in children's learning, including mathematical development and physical skills.

They are greeted warmly, eager to explore activities, such as a visit from a tractor, which sparks their thirst for learning. Children behave well, are kind and caring, and become confident communicators through attentive staff interaction.
