Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
parents say that staff know their children and their unique ways well.
They refer to a friendly atmosphere and feeling part of the nursery family.
Inclusion & environment
The manager and staff work closely with parents to identify and close any gaps in children's learning. They invite other professionals into the nursery to support children and staff. They use additional funding effectively to meet the needs of children. Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points.
Suggestions are being gathered and changes being made to improve the outdoor curriculum. This is to increase opportunities for children to be physically active in their play and for those who prefer to learn outdoors on a larger scale.
I can't recommend Natterjacks highly enough. From the moment we stepped into the baby room I knew that this was a family based, nurturing and caring place where I could leave my baby. A personalised settling in plan was made, with lots of novel suggestions to help make my little one feel at home. The kindness and patience that was shown to both of us when my boy first started at the nursery was second to none (we both struggled with the separation!). Mai-Ling, Becca and Claire run a friendly, welcoming, caring nursery. Communication is good. The nursery has a small-family feel and all the kids know all of the staff and each other. Staff respond quickly and effectively to any allergy and health issues too. The most important thing is the children have fun and thrive here!
Read on GoogleIf you’re looking for a family orientated ,friendly ,kind, home away from home feel this is the place . I’m so sad that my little boy is about to leave 🥺 he has loved it since he first started as a baby every single member of staff have always been so kind and caring and made such a fuss of him he loves every single one of the girls 💖 the nursery it’s self is not too big so each child gets so much love and attention can not recommend it enough ! Thank you Natterjacks for making the nursery years so special 💝
Read on GoogleOur daughter has been at Natterjacks for 6 months and has gone in and come home with a smile on her face every day. She is kept entertained and challenged with fun and creative activities so she’s always worn out but so happy. She also prefers nursery food to anything I cook! The team are all so friendly and helpful, the communication is great and you can tell they genuinely care about each and every child. Our son is about to start at quite short notice and management couldn’t have been more helpful, making sure there was space for them both on the same days and starting his settling in sessions quickly. Nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend Natterjacks.
Read on GoogleMy son has been at NatterJacks for almost a year now. The staff have been fantastic with him, they keep us updated regularly on any changes within the nursery as well as with our son. The staff are kind, empathetic and genuinely caring. the group sizes are only small which at this age I find beneficial. I would highly recommend Natterjacks to any parent.
Read on GoogleI made the decision to put my daughter at natterjacks since she was one and a half as I watched how dedicated they where with my nephew and even made a fuss of my daughter when she used to come in to pick him up, and it’s the best decision I’ve made with how much she has come on . I can honestly say how happy I’ve been and she’s been with the care And activities provided with this nursery , I had a few issues with her behaviour (terrible twos/threes) and staff went above and beyond to help and support me even when she used to refuse to get changed and came in in pyjamas nothing was a problem and even helped me with extra resources to help her with potty training and bedtimes which we were struggling with . staff have also always took my well-being into account inviting me in for a coffee, this doesn’t go unnoticed I highly recomend this nursery for anyone in the area :)
