They are open 51 weeks a year, from 8 am to 6 pm, closing only for the week between Christmas and New Year and on Bank Holidays. In addition to core care and education guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), School House Nursery offers 'Additional Services' which include consumables like nappies and wipes, laundry for blankets, outdoor gear, and nutritious meals, as well as extra-curricular activities such as Forest School, yoga, French, gardening, cooking, PE, and music and movement.
These services are designed to enhance the child's experience and support parents. The nursery actively supports parents in understanding and utilising available financial aid, including various government funding schemes for childcare.
Our ethos
The Montessori ethos underpins what we do. We help children develop according to their age and stage. We follow the individual interests of each child and plan accordingly, providing countless opportunities for them to try something new and learn as they go. To us, early years has to be much more than just childcare.

Staff work closely with other agencies and professionals to provide a consistent approach to the care and learning of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Children are confident to explore their surroundings, both inside and outside. Toddlers choose whether to play inside or outside several times during the day. Children are amazed at the large beetle they find in the garden and continue to search for other creatures hiding there.
Great nursery setting. Our daughter is enjoying it there and developing in all areas. Nursery staff are warming and approachable.
