Inclusion & environment
Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to achieve their full potential, making thoughtful adaptations to ensure activities are accessible and helping children gain confidence. Leaders use additional funding to purchase visual aids for children with limited language skills and employ accurate assessments to identify and support those with communication and language needs, implementing strategies quickly to promote good progress.
Leaders ensure that children play outdoors daily and enjoy local trips, such as visits to parks. Indoors, they provide activities that support movement and physical development, including climbing, music and movement, and yoga. These experiences promote children's health and wellbeing.
Many children attending Shining Stars Nursery speak English as an additional language, and staff, who also speak a variety of languages, ensure that these children are supported to communicate effectively. The nursery celebrates children's unique cultures and heritages through songs and dedicated culture weeks, with families participating in arranging cultural activities.
Best nursery in Blackburn by a mile. From cleanliness to friendliness of staff, fresh hot meals and the independance my children have gained from a young age. Really would recommend it to everyone. Really flexible and understanding nursery where you can leave your children with peace of mind. Great facilities for play and lots of messy play activities daily with updates through blossom. As a qualified teacher and someone who works for an academic Trust that believes in excellence, the nursery is outstanding and im sure many parents will agree. You can judge a nursery by the happiness of your children and mine ask to go on weekends too, they love it so much!
Read on GoogleAmazing childcare facility for children aged 0 - 5 & onwards . Not seen a nursery with more space , it’s very spacious . Fully refurbished with state of the art furniture and a mind blowing sensory room . Staff are extremely friendly and the comms are second to none . They have a dedicated app which allows parent to remain fully updated on all the day to day running and information including all the learning and care provided . I can’t recommend this Nursery enough . The facility accepts the childcare codes made available to working parents through new expansion scheme. Don’t delay and go see the setting and meet the team yourself. I can assure you you will not be disappointed.
Read on GoogleExcellent staff very kind and caring to all children. They always go out of their way putting great efforts into making a fun learning environment for both students and parents. Highly recommended!
Read on GoogleI had enrolled my child there and he was burnt by hand and when I complained to the management she made it clear that she would report him to social services and they would investigate my home. Do not enrol your children. Also I have seen that the niqab is not worn in a religious setting as most do not wear it outside of the nursery.also my child has had lice certainly in the sandpit outside.in short an advice to the slightest incident report with social services. I prefer not to put stars. I didn't speak up earlier because I didn't know my rights and now my child is grown up but I put this comment for parents who are really concerned.
Read on GoogleBest childcare provider in Blackburn, staff are highly professional, friendly and caring. My child had the best experience here and I would definitely recommend.
