This nursery was amazing when Elisa was the manager and then they changed over to Nasira and oh my did it go down hill. Iv never met such rude arrogant women who picks and choose who she speaks to on pick up and drop off (mainly you have to be Gujarati for her to speak to you and your child) her news letter she copy and paste’s ones from previous years and then deletes and alters them an hour later when she realises she has left news in from years ago I.E. last year she sent out a newsletter which was from the height of Covid. She’s charging parents because she is replying to emails 2-3 weeks later and in the interim she will charge you! She has no experience to manage and she has no people skills. The girls who work in the baby room the toddlers and pre school are fantastic I cannot fault them. They are loving caring nurturing and my child spent many years enjoying his time at THDN. Over the last year the place has gone downhill and that is due to management not the girls. If you are Gujarati don’t worry you will fit right in any other culture and you won’t be spoken to and you will be ignored. Such a shame as it was the most lovely environment and now I would not recommend anyone sending their child there. I have many more issues I could disclose but seeing as my child has finished there I don’t want to give another minute of my time to this place

I’m going to be as honest as I can with this review, our first time choosing a Nurcery for our 2 year old & we went in so positively & met with the manger elisa herself & she was so warm & welcoming when we went to see the Nurcery we put down an application & paid a £50 deposit which was originally £25 but somehow they put the price to £50 which we didn’t mind paying anyway, we got told we would get it back the first day she attends, in the end she told us she won’t be manger at the Nurcery anymore & she would be moving, bear in mind my child has a funding certificate, which we handed in, all done we went home thinking it’s all sorted. A few days later before Christmas holidays we get a call from ‘Naseera’ saying we have not received a ‘funding code’ for my daughter & she won’t be able to start unless I provide them with it, I explained numerous times that I don’t have a funding code, only a certificate & I already handed it in. They then proceeded to tell me if I don’t have it by the Friday before school holidays start my daughter will have to wait till April to start? I was soo confused & panicked as I had to get this magical code, in a hurry I ended up calling the funding company myself & explained the situation, the lady proceeded to tell me I don’t need a code & only the certificate I already provided them with, she could tell I was frustrated as I thought my daughter won’t get her place, she told me she would ring the Nurcery on my behalf & tell them I don’t need to provide a code & the funding has already gone through, which she did. An hour later I get a call back from the manager who’s then apologised to me about the whole mix up & how she’s really sorry about getting me panicked & that everything is fine & her application has gone through, she also told me tomorrow she’ll get the other workers to give me a call & discuss her start date. That never happened. So all Christmas holidays I was sat wondering when my daughter will be starting. I then rang them in the new year to ask them & again got told they don’t have the funding code???? This call was from Naseera again, I felt so frustrated again because we already went through this, so I emailed her explaining the whole situation & only then she was like okay yeah your right, but we don’t have the certificate so you will have to bring it in. So somehow they managed to lose my paperwork & I had to email it to them again. So unprofessional & clearly not good communication between themselves & other colleagues. Another issue we had was packed lunches. When we came for our viewing of the nursery with Elisa, she told us we can bring our child packed lunches in as long as there is no fizzy drinks or sweets ect, which we thought was great as we are a low income family & can’t afford to pay for dinners which is £3.50 a day, a few days later we’ve received a £40 invoice which they have taken out of the deposit we paid leaving us with £10 credit, for dinners which we didn’t even agree to pay? We were told we would get the deposit back? So again I was left feeling confused & quiet angry to be honest, I spoke to Naseera about this & she was so rude & told me that we basically have to pay & if I don’t pay my daughters going to be sat there starving while all the other children get to eat? So she was making me feel bad for not paying. So I explained to her we got told we can bring packed lunches so she won’t be starving then, then she told me we don’t allow packed lunches unless they have a special diet or a doctors note, I even told her that’s not what I got told but she didn’t care. She then told me they have a dad who brings his daughter & doesn’t pay for dinners so he takes her home an hour earlier! So I can do that too, LOL so I was like so you expect me to take my daughter home & hour early because I won’t pay for dinners. I thought about it & said okay we’ll pay for it if we want her in for the full 3 hours. Anyway we’re not sending her there anymore. Negative vibes, negative energy. Not for me.

My child has been attending the baby room at Tudor House @ Altom since Jan 2020. She has learnt so many new things and her emotional development has made some very good progress. During the Covid-19 lockdown we were supported with numerous ideas and resources to continue aiding our childs development from home. Staff are friendly and very welcoming, they always take the time to talk to us, whether to discuss our childs day or answer any of our questions. Highly recommend this establishment.
